VFW Auxiliary; Solitaires

VFW AUXILIARY

The Ladies Auxiliary to Dimmitt-Vorhies Post 2271 met Monday at the post home.

The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by President Joyce Countryman. Seven members were present.

No new applications for membership were submitted.

General orders were read and discussed.

All sisters were asked to pay their dues to save the auxiliary the postage expense.

The charter was draped for Marie Bennett.

Everyone was thanked for helping distribute poppies, and everyone who donated to the poppy fund was thanked.

The next meeting will be Nov. 9 at the post home. All auxiliary sisters are invited to attend.

SOLITAIRES

The Solitaires is planning to have lunch at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Loriann?s in Richland.

Members will meet at noon Sunday in the First National Bank of Fairfield parking lot to carpool rides to the restaurant.
