VFW in New London wins state awards

VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary from New London received several Awards at the State VFW Convention June 4 in Des Moines.

The awards they received were: 1st Place in the Buddy Poppy Contest-Memorial Category; Runner-up in the Implementing a Mentoring/Leadership Role; Healthy Auxiliary Award; Event Scheduled with Post Citation Award; Citation for Regular Reporting of Community Outreach to Chairman; Best Promotion of Patriot's Pen Essays Contest; Best Promotion of the National Home and top award of Circle of Excellence by following criteria of membership, activity with post, audits & other guidelines set by National.
