VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary in New London announces awards

VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary in New London has announces its fundraising activities for National Veterans Services Award.

The chapter received a number of awards and citations at the VFW State Convention in Des Moines June 3. Attending from the auxiliary were Erma McDonald, Carol Hotop and Dianna Klaus.

The local chapter received the following recognitions:

$10 Award for Most Fund raising for Veterans and Military Support Programs.

$10 Award and citation for Best Reporting of an event with pictures included.Historian and Media Relations Award of reporting of events.

Auxiliary Circle of Excellence-top award of $25 for Auxiliaries meeting all criteria in attaining over 100 percent in membership, attending district meetings, having at least one fundraiser with their post with documentation, all audits and bonding done on time, etc.

Participation in Buddy Poppy contest at State.

$10 Youth Activities Citation and Award. Auxiliary with most Awards and coins given to Youth in honor of their essays.

Mentoring for Leadership Award in Auxiliary training-$10 award.

Scholarship Award of $20 in best promotion of Patriots Pen.
