Victory #8 School held it?s first class in 1891 and closed in 1958. Since 1960, a reunion has been held every year in September.
Currently, the school belongs to the alumni as long as at least one community function occurs there annually. Since closing the school, fourth grade classes have had the opportunity of attending a one-day experience of how school was taught in days gone by. In addition, a grant from the Greater Jefferson Co. Foundation has made it possible to do some needed maintenance on the school. The Lockridge Lions sponsored the grant.
This day is open to the community and former students of the school. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a dessert to share. Drinks will be furnished.
