Villages of Van Buren County plan July events

The Villages of Van Buren County has announced a number of events for the month of July. They are:

July 4: Keosauqua Lions 4th of July Celebration

Fireworks at dusk across from the beautiful Des Moines riverfront!

Due to the current public health situation, people are encouraged to watch from their homes, their cars, or from the riverfront following whatever social distancing guidelines are in place at the time. From 8-10 p.m. at Keosauqua City Park, 100 Van Buren St., Keosauqua.

July 17-19: Ranch Horse Show Series

Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m., and Sunday at 11 a.m. Wine tasting, Food Concessions, Trail Competition, Barrel Race, Ranch Rodeo, Youth & Ladies Breakaway and more. River Valley Horse Camp & Lodge, 29080 Hawk Dr., Farmington.

July 20-27: Van Buren County Fair

Enjoy a week of fun at the Van Buren County Fair, featuring Fair Queen Contest, 4-H & FFA Open Show Exhibits all week and more. Wednesday: Youth Plein Air Competition; Thursday: Plein Air Painting Contest begins. Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Hwy. 1 North, Keosauqua.
