Virgil A. Fedler, 97, of West Point, Iowa passed away at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the West Point Care Center.
Friends may call after 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point where the family will meet with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m at the Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point, Iowa with Father Bruce DeRammelaere as celebrant.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in West Point with Full Military Rites presented by the Holtz-Geers American Legion Post #668.
A memorial has been established to the West Point America Legion.
