A Memorial Service for Vivian A. Hodges will be held Saturday, November 17, at Faith Lutheran Church, 910 East Maple Drive, Mount Pleasant, IA, at 11:00 a.m.
Vivian was 83 when she died September 4, 2018, in Sartell, MN. She'd lived with Alzheimer's for nearly seven years. She was born in Washington, PA, grew up in Allentown, PA, but lived most of her life in southeast Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents (Lillian and Erwin "Curly" Leppert) and her husband of 48 years, Roy A. Hodges. She is greatly missed by daughters Deborah (Deb) Hodges Hull (Stephen) of Silver Spring, MD; Cheryl Hodges-Savola (Brad) of Rice, MN; and son Daniel (Dan) Hodges (Melinda) of Des Moines, IA. She also leaves behind two granddaughters: Bethany Hankes (Joe Smith) and Meredith Hodges and three grandsons: Zachary Savola, Daniel Hodges, and Matthew Hodges.
Vivian worked many years at KILJ Radio and served as the secretary of Faith Lutheran Church for more than a decade. She was active in her church, the community, and with the local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was recognized by family, friends, and colleagues for her many creative endeavors.
