Vocalists participate in All-State chorus prep event
Eight Washington High School students attended the All-State chorus preparatory event in Muscatine, Saturday, Sept. 13. The students in vocal music worked with others from around southeast Iowa and a guest director. The Iowa School Directors Association sponsored the event, with 400 students in attendance.

The students in vocal music worked with others from around southeast Iowa and a guest director. The Iowa School Directors Association sponsored the event, with 400 students in attendance.
Representing Washington High School were Theresa Anders, Stacy Ramirez, Lena Adams, Zoe Wagner, Cale Rausch, Cody Chalupa, Kyle McAvoy and Kendon Hanson. Their instructor is Michael Jewell. These students and approximately 1,000 others will be auditioning at Washington High School on Oct. 25 for the All-State chorus, band or orchestra.
