HEAVENLY PET SANCTUARY
Heavenly Pet Sanctuary is in need of volunteers to bathe and groom their dogs as well as set up and clean cages prior to twice-per-month trips to PETCO stores for adoption days.
Many of Heavenly Pet Sanctuary?s dogs need socialization and training to become more adoptable. These dogs need to learn how to walk properly on a leash, not to jump on people, to sit and stay, and be generally well-mannered. Anyone with knowledge of dog training, or who would like to practice training, may apply.
The shelter always welcomes volunteers for companionship and grooming of the 125 feline residents, as well.
In addition, Heavenly Pet Sanctuary is in search of helpers to put together adoption packages for new pet owners.
For information, contact Laura Conti, executive director, at 472-0701.

THE CLOSET
The Closet needs volunteers to open the store, assist customers and people who bring in donations, sweep the store after closing, and keep the shelves and racks stocked, neat and organized. Volunteers also track the number of daily donations and customers.
Volunteers are required to work with the facility?s manager for 16 hours of training, but training hours are flexible. Volunteers must be able to pass a criminal records check and an abuse history background check due to the fact that The Closet is located on the same property as a day care center.
The Closet is a one-of-a-kind recycle shop. It receives donations for free, volunteers work for free, and all items are given away for free.
For information, contact supervisor Fran Cox at 472-9098.
