Volunteers are being sought to read in a formal public reading of the play ?Farmscape: Documenting the Changing Rural Environment? by Iowa Poet Laureate Mary Swander as part of the 2013 Ecofairfield Festival.
?Farmscape? is a readers theater show telling the ?multi-faceted story of Iowa farming issues.?
Volunteers should be comfortable reading in front of an audience and willing to commit to be available 1:30-5 p.m. April, 13 to run through the script twice and 6:30-10 p.m. April 26 to warm up and give the formal reading to the public.
?We are especially interested in recruiting farmers as readers or audience as this piece is based on interviews with farmers and is all about farmers issues? said Carol Olicker.
Volunteers also are needed for set up and clean up and to run a PowerPoint presentation of slides during the reading.
For information, email ecofarmscape@yahoo.com or call Olicker at 472-5437.
