WACO announces homecoming events

The WACO Community School District (WACO CSD) will be hosting Homecoming Events the week of Sept. 12. The following is a list of events taking place during the week. WACO students and staff welcome the public and Alumni to participate in Homecoming:

? Friday, Sept. 9: Class float building begins at 4 p.m. ­ Only five students will be allowed to ride on float during the parade. Chaperones should be onsite for float construction.

?Sunday, Sept. 11: Class hallway decorating ­students must bring owns supplies and be chaperoned. See class sponsors for hall assignments.

?Monday, Sept. 12: Dress up Day, ?I Woke Up Like This?.­ Roll out of bed and come to school in your pajamas.

Fresh/Soph Volleyball Tournament at WACO, starting at 4:30 p.m. Junior high football vs. Iowa Valley at Iowa Valley. The game begins at 6 p.m.

?Tuesday, Sept. 13?: Dress Up day­,­ ?Tie Dye Tuesday?. ­ Wear your favorite tie dye and make the school look like a rainbow.

At 4:30 p.m., there will be a varsity Cross Country meet at English Valley at Knoll Ridge Country Club. The meet begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Freshman/Sophomore Volleyball vs. Notre Dame game at WACO will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The JV volleyball game vs. Notre Dame at WACO will start at 7:30 p.m.

?Wednesday, Sept. 14: Dress up Day­,?­ ?Show us your favorite sports team?.

?Boom Night begins at 7 p.m. A bonfire by the football locker rooms will take place at the end of the night?s festivities.

?Thursday, Sept. 15?: Dress Up day­,? ?Spirit Day?.

JH Volleyball vs. Holy Trinity at WACO at 4:30 p.m.

Fresh/Soph Volleyball vs. Van Buren at Van Buren at 5:30 p.m.

JV Volleyball vs. Van Buren at Van Buren at 6:30 p.m.

Varsity Volleyball vs. Van Buren at Van Buren at 7:30 p.m.

?Friday, Sept. 16?: Floats and parade participants line up on Front Street by Bomber Field at 4:30 p.m.

The parade will begin at 5 p.m.

Football Game vs. Springville at WACO at 7 p.m.

High school dance will take place after the game.

?Saturday, Sept. 17:? Varsity Volleyball Tournament at North Mahaska at 9 a.m.
