WACO?s National Honor Society inducts three new members

The WACO chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) held their annual induction on Monday, May 9, at the High School Gymnasium. Three new members pledged to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society. Those newly inducted members were:

?Kiana Miller, sophomore, daughter of Matt and Lisa Miller

?Jason Sammons, sophomore, son of Jason and Kim Sammons

?Emily Thomson, junior, daughter of Galen and Danielle Thomson

Chapter officers read dialog regarding the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service and character.

The current chapter officers are Bryce Achen, senior, son of Robert and Vickie Achen; Kaitie Miles, senior, daughter of Brett and Laurie Miles; Jackson Gerot, senior, son of Tom and Angie Gerot; and Justyn Chalupa, senior, son of Scott Chalupa and Sherise DeWolf.

Additional members are:

?Libby Skriver, senior, daughter of Mike and Jackie Skriver

?Mason Barnhart, senior, son of Eric and Audra Barnhart

?Angel Frier, senior, daughter of Dr. Curtis and Pam Frier

?Halle Kissel, junior, daughter of Paul and Melissa Kissell

?Jackson Roth, junior, son of Mike and Maria Roth

?Kasey Sutton, junior, daughter of Jason and Melody Sutton

?Roman Kiefer, junior, son of Tim and Robin Kiefer

?Kaylan Leichty, junior, daughter of Kurt and Beth Leichty

Family, staff and friends were invited to the induction. The NHS members hosted a short reception following the induction.
