Walk to End Alzheimer’s registration event on June 15

The Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's Event Planning Team is hosting a Perk Up Your Team Registration Event on Saturday, June 15, from 10:30 a.m., until noon at Dunn Brothers Coffee in Burlington.

Individuals who are passionate about ending Alzheimer's and dementia are encouraged to get involved in this annual community event. This year's Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Port of Burlington for the southeast Iowa area. Forming a team is easy and can involve your family, friends and co-workers. Volunteer a few hours a month or on Walk day and make a donation to the fight against ALZ.

Drop in for a cup of joe, Perk Up Your Team for this year's event and get started planning. Register your team in just a few minutes as you enjoy your favorite beverage, pick up ideas for fundraising and how to encourage members to join your team. You'll also learn how you, your employer, friends and family can join the fight against ALZ – all in a few short minutes. All individuals who raise funds for the Walk have the opportunity to win cool prizes, gear and other items for raising funds to provide local services, support and funding for research.

Volunteers are also needed to help plan the event and assist on Walk day and local sponsorships and involvement from businesses and organizations are welcome.
