The Walk to End Alzheimer?s Committee for Southeast Iowa invites interested members of the community to join them for a Volunteer Kickoff event on Saturday, April 16, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the Ottumwa Chamber of Commerce.
The Alzheimer?s Association Walk to End Alzheimer?s assists individuals and their families who are battling Alzheimer?s and dementia by raising awareness and funds for programs, services and research for treatments and a hopeful cure. Committee members will share information about the Walk for Southeast Iowa, the Alzheimer?s Association, why supporting this cause matters and how to get involved in making a difference through this event.
Information on how to get involved in planning this year?s Walk will be shared. This meeting is free and open to the public, and all those interested in volunteering on the committee are welcome to attend. Reservations are required to attend.
