WASHINGTON - Just in time for the gift giving season, the Washington Chamber of Commerce has redesigned its popular Chamber Bucks. This program encourages shoppers to shop, eat, spend and enjoy their holiday time locally.
Chamber Bucks are gift certificates that can be used at participating member locations in Washington. Anyone can purchase and use them. Businesses wishing to offer Chamber Bucks to their customers can get them the same day for orders under $500 by stopping in at the Chamber office at 205 West Main Street in Washington.
Orders over $500 take up to 24 hours to fulfill. Chamber Bucks are used just like any other gift certificate. Change is not given by merchants honoring Chamber Bucks, so their entire value needs to be used for a single purchase. Chamber Bucks make great stocking stuffers for shoppers looking for gifts and they provide shoppers with the convenience of using their gift close to home. They help the community by spurring the local economy and they never expire.
The newly designed Chamber Bucks are smaller than before and feature an image of the State Theater on the $5 Buck, the Centennial Fountain on the $10 Buck and Diane and Bob Gallagher's barn on the $20 Buck. Contact the Washington Chamber of Commerce at 319-653-3272 with any questions.
