Washington Church of God spring conference

The Washington Church of God is going to have a spring conference beginning Friday, March 11, and ending on Sunday, March 13. It is to be a celebration of life, celebrating the new life that we can have in Jesus Christ. The coming of spring and the new life it brings in nature is a reminder to us of the new life we can have as we celebrate Easter and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. There will be worship, preaching, teaching and ministering in each service.

It will begin on Friday night at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mark Fulmer, Cedar Rapids. Brunch and sharing will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday; and at 2 p.m., Saturday, a ?ladies only? service, with Jean Perkins, wife of state overseer of the Midlands region of the Church of God and a graduate of Lee University. Lunch will be served at 5 p.m., and the evening service will begin at 6 p.m. with Adm. Bishop Derwood Perkins of Omaha, who will also be ministering at the 10 a.m. (daylight saving time) service on Sunday morning. Dinner will be served at noon. Then the Sunday evening service will be at 6 p.m. with Bishop Tony Angran of the Solid Rock Church in Centerville. Praise and worship leaders will be Pastor David Watson with his wife, Elisabeth, of The Assembly of God here in Washington.
