Washington City Council to meet

The Washington City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in council chambers at 120 E. Main St.

Items on the agenda include: discussion and consideration of appointing Jim Zieglowsky to zoning board, quotes on traffic light LED upgrades, notice of hearing and letting on Lexington Avenue lift stations, discussion of amending Chapter 69.08 "no parking zones" ? 1000/1100 block of South Avenue B, change order for the ground storage resevoir, old water plant roof repairs, public hearing on resolution authorizing the issuance of 2015 general obligation bonds for the water tower, public hearing on the resolution of adopting plans for the cost of the widening of Sitler Driver, consideration of awarding the Sitler Drive widening project, discussion and consideration of resolution directing the advertisement for sale, approving electronic bid procedures and official statement for the $2,335,000 general obligation capital loan series and discussion and consideration of a resolution of approving Wapello Rural Water to serve potable water to certain customer within two miles of the City of Washington.
