Washington City Council to meet Tuesday

The Washington City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, in council chambers at 120 E. Main St.

Items on the agenda include: consent agenda items, a special presentation on an update of the nuisance abatement, discussion and consideration of an appointment to the airport commission - Joe Harvey, discussion and consideration of an appointment to the board of adjustment - John Greener, designation of Trick-o-Treat night, discussion and consideration of purchasing a new police vehicle, discussion and consideration of Washington schools request - former library shelving, public hearing on resolution for adopting plans for the business park water main, discussion on the resolution for adopting plans, form of contract and estimate cost for the business park water main, discussion and consideration of resolution awarding business park water main, discussion and consideration of resolution approving a bond for the water tower, discussion and consideration of a resolution issuing the bonds for the water tower, second reading of the second ordinance amending utility rates, second reading of an ordinance to move the stop sign at Adams and 12th Street, discussion and consideration of the third reading of an ordinance amending chapter 45.05 - alcohol in Centennial Park, discussion and resolution approving council rules and procedures and a closed session per Iowa Code 21.59(i) - personnel.
