Washington County 4-H award applications due Oct. 1

Washington County 4-H'ers are reminded the deadline for Special Awards, Community Service Award and CBI Bank and Trust 4-H Participation Awards is Tuesday, Oct. 1.
All 4-H members may apply for the CBI Bank and Trust 4-H Participation Awards as a Participant of Merit or a Participant of Excellence with the one page application form available online and due to the Extension Office by Oct. 1.
Senior age 4-H'ers (10-12 grades) are eligible to apply for five awards: I Dare You, Achievements, Citizenship, Leadership, and Livestock Leadership Award. Only County Council members or ELITE Project Team members are eligible for the additional Leadership award.
Intermediate age 4-H'ers (7-9 grades) are eligible to apply for the Intermediate Citizenship award.
The special senior/intermediate award application include up to three pages of support material and an interview with the 4-H & Youth Committee. All applications are due to the Washington County Extension Office by Oct. 1. Interviews will be held the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 13.
Any 7th-12th grade member who have excelled in one particular project area this year are also encourage to apply for a Project Award. Applicants should have completed leadership activities within this project area as well. An interview with the club leader is required for this award with their signature.
In addition, any Washington County 4-H Club may apply for the Community Service Award. This award is for projects completed within the current 4-H year by the entire club to improve the community. Application includes a project folder due to the Washington County Extension Office by Oct. 1.
