Washington County 4-H places first at 4-H state shooting sports match

Washington County 4-H member Zane Fisher of the Bows & Bullets 4-H Club participated in the State Shooting Sports Match on Aug. 29 at the Big Spring's Shoot Complex in Searsboro, Iowa. There were 96 4-Hers participating from 21 different counties.

Fisher earned first place for smallboard (. 22 rifle). He is the son of Duane and Vicky of West Chester.

The Bows & Bullets 4-H Club meets monthly at the Washington County Extension Office. The club is open to any youth of Washington County in 4th-12th grade who have an interest in shooting sports and the outdoors. The club owns equipment for training on safety and shooting.
