Washington County 4-H places first at 4-H state shooting sports match

Washington County 4-H member Zane Fisher of the Bows & Bullets 4-H Club participated in the State Shooting Sports Match on Aug. 29 at the Big Spring's Shoot Complex in Searsboro, Iowa. There were 96 4-Hers participating from 21 different counties.
Fisher earned first place for smallboard (. 22 rifle). He is the son of Duane and Vicky of West Chester.
The Bows & Bullets 4-H Club meets monthly at the Washington County Extension Office. The club is open to any youth of Washington County in 4th-12th grade who have an interest in shooting sports and the outdoors. The club owns equipment for training on safety and shooting. The club is currently accepting new enrollments for the new 4-H year. Contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811 on how to get involved as an adult volunteer or member.
