The Washington County Cattlemen are seeking Beef Queen and Princess applicants.
Requirements include an interest in beef cattle production, parents being involved with beef production, a willingness to promote beef as well as attend a school in the Washington County area. Girls between the ages of 14-18 can apply.
We are also offering our annual scholarship to a graduating senior. Requirements include being a Washington County resident and parents being a Washington County Cattlemen’s member. The award recipient is majoring in an agricultural field.
New this year, we are offering a Young Rancher's Grant. This will be available to a graduating high school senior or a returning college student who is starting an operation or returning to the farm. The grant could help offset costs associated with starting or expanding a beef enterprise.
All applications are due Feb. 1, 2023.
Please contact Washington County Cattlemen Youth Chairman, Barbie Ford, at barbieaford@yahoo.com for applications.
