The following are events in the Washington area for January:
All month long - “Animals and the Things They Say” exhibit at the Washington Public Library. This is the 30th annual photo exhibit by Lyle Moen and Nancy Rash, a display that features animals from around the country and unique habitats. 319-653-2726.
Jan. 4 - Learn at Lunch: Washington Chamber of Commerce hosts this event. The topic is “Gratitude is a main ingredient of a customer experience. Noon. Call 319-653-3272 to register.
Jan. 12 - Holiday Feed Sack/Natvity and Amish Lunch Tour at Ainsworth Opera House. Charter bus tour with Mike Zahs with Amish lunch/dinner meal. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 319-657-3782 to reserve a spot.
Jan. 12 - Fireman Pancake Breakfast at Washington Fire Station. Serving 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Dine in or carry out only, no drive-thru. 319-653-2239.
Jan. 15 - Benefit for Carson Clemons at Lebowski’s Rock n’ Bowl. To benefit Carson, Greta and Blandon Clemons. Bags tournament at 11 a.m., trivia at 6:30 p.m. 319-653-2505.
Jan. 19 - Holiday Lights Fundraiser at Cafe Dodici. Ten percent of sales go toward chamber’s Holiday Lights Fundraiser.
Jan. 21 - Ventriloquist Marc Rubben at Lebowski’s Rock n’ Bowl. Show starts at 8 p.m.
Jan. 25 - 27th Annual Hospice of Washington County’s Soup Supper and Silent Auction at the United Presbyterian Church. Free will donation, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. 319-653-7321.
Jan. 29 - Live performance of Final Mix Band at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. 7:30-11 p.m.
