Washington County gears up for FirstNet Communications Network presentation

On Dec. 4, the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System Board (ISICSB) in cooperation with local communities and Connect Iowa invites local leaders to attend a FirstNet meeting about the future of public safety communications in Iowa.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Washington County Sheriff's Office, 2181 Lexington Blvd. Washington.

Invited are elected officials and those working in or representing: police agencies, sheriffs' departments, DNR, marshals, Homeland Security, EMA, communications, fire, EMS, hazmat, explosives, search and rescue, DOT ? highways, airport, railways, waterways, departments of health, CDC, municipal government, utilities, public works, county government, county attorney, tribal government, utility providers, military, National Guard, Coast Guard, and federal agencies.
