The Washington County Historical Society executive board met on Dec. 19, 2013, at 9:10 a.m. at the Washington Public Library. Seven people attended, and presiding officer was Ferd Marie.
A report was given on the artifacts room. The ceiling is done and cabinets built, and staff at the Archaeological Office in Iowa City are completing the display. An open house for Conger House was discussed, possibly in May, to see the exhibit. Mike Zahs said that the Brinton film restoration project has received several grants and is progressing nicely. The work is being done in Pennsylvania.
The next meeting will be on Jan. 23, 2014.
