The executive board of the Washington County Historical Society met at 9 a.m., Aug. 28, at Conger House in Washington. Eight members attended, and Ferd Marie was the presiding officer.
It was reported that the Aug. 17 Sunday afternoon open house was well attended. Work is being done on Red Brick School. The group decided to have the Conger House on display during Christmas season, as has been done in past years. ...

The executive board of the Washington County Historical Society met at 9 a.m., Aug. 28, at Conger House in Washington. Eight members attended, and Ferd Marie was the presiding officer.
It was reported that the Aug. 17 Sunday afternoon open house was well attended. Work is being done on Red Brick School. The group decided to have the Conger House on display during Christmas season, as has been done in past years. The state Rural Schools Association will be meeting Oct. 10-11 in Kalona, and Walnut School will be one of the schools on tour.
The next meeting will be at 9 a.m., Sept. 25, at Red Brick School.
