Washington County Historical Society Executive Board met at 9 a.m., Jan. 22 at the Washington Public Library. Seven members attended, and Ferd Marie was presiding officer.
Mike Kramme announced that the Baxter-Cole area and the old McCleery Calendar Factory have been nominated for National Registration. He is doing research on Woodlawn Cemetery. The board voted to explore a possibility of merging the Historical Society collections with the Genealogical collections.
The date for the annual meeting will be April 6, with a location to be announced later. Mike Zahs announced that the premiere showing of the Brinton films set to music by the Red Cedar Trio will be at the Ainsworth Opera House on March 6 and 7.
The next meeting will be at 9 a.m., Feb. 26, 2015, at the Washington Public Library.
