Washington — Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC) is pleased to announce the addition of Dena Prainito, LISW, as a new clinical mental health therapist on its Behavioral Health team.
Dena brings more than 15 years of experience in social work and mental health services, having worked in corrections, hospitals, hospice, and community health. She is skilled in providing evidence-based therapy, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, and support for patients of all ages.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dena to WCHC,” said Todd Patterson, CEO of Washington County Hospital and Clinics. “Her experience and compassionate approach will strengthen our behavioral health team and help us continue meeting the growing mental health needs of our community.”
In her new role, Dena will provide counseling and mental health support for patients and families, working closely with WCHC’s medical staff. Her arrival reflects WCHC’s continued investment in expanding access to behavioral health services at a time when they are needed most.
Patients must have a referral from their health care provider to schedule an appointment with Dena. For more information about the referral process, please contact the WCHC McCreedy Medical Clinic at 319-653-7291.
