Washington County to host 2016 Dairy Days

Iowa dairy producers have the opportunity to learn about emerging dairy industry issues at the 2016 Dairy Days hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach specialists. The program is scheduled at seven eastern Iowa locations between Jan. 18 and Feb. 4. Washington County will host an event on Feb. 2, 2016.
At this year?s program, producers will learn about maximizing economic returns, understanding soil testing, putting forages to work in a transition cow program, benchmarks for transition cows, precision technology, organic dairies and advances in reproduction programs.
Washington County will host 2016 Dairy Days at Kalona Chamber of Commerce (514 B. Ave.) in Kalona on Feb. 2, 2016. Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. and the program will conclude by 3 p.m. A registration fee covers the proceeding's costs for the Kalona program. Preregistration is requested by the Friday before each event to reserve a meal.
