Washington County’s State Fair projects honored

It was a standing room only audience gathered Thursday, July 21 around the Lions Club Stage at the Washington County Fair to receive their State Fair plaques and public recognition for being selected as a State Fair project award winner and special award winners.

These projects will be on display representing Washington County 4-H at the Iowa State Fair from Aug. 11-22 in Des Moines. 861 non-livestock exhibits were entered at the Washington County Fair in the 4-H/FFA static contest. Only 47 can be selected to represent Washington County at the Iowa State Fair.
