Washington High School Class of 1972 celebrates 50th reunion
The Washington High School Class of 1972 celebrated their 50th Reunion at the Lake Darling Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.
The original class had 172 members; just over half of the living members were in attendance. After a catered barbecue dinner by Sweet 'N Saucy of Fairfield, a short program included reminiscences from 50 years ago, a table game matching classmates' names with life experiences, and a memorial table with photos, a poem reading and prayer honoring the thirty deceased classmates.
Several teachers from their junior high and high school days joined the class prior to the dinner. Both the Class of 1971 and 1972 gathered for an informal gathering that Friday evening at Unc and Neph's.
