As June quickly approaches, Jo and I are excitedly planning our Summer Reading program! This year’s theme is “Reading Colors Your World!”
The library is lucky to be located on the square and have the beautiful city park across the street. This year, we will be hosting Summer Reading activities and our Family Events outside at the park, in front of the stage.
We are so excited to see our favorite little friends in person this year instead of over Zoom! This will be the first time we’ve hosted Summer Reading outside. We are excited for the new adventure.
It will take everyone working together to make it run smoothly. Outdoor activities can have their challenges so be prepared to pivot with us! We will make sure to keep you in the loop! Keeping everyone safe is our highest priority!
We have three fantastic, free family events for you to enjoy this year:
•Absolute Science Bubble Show, Tuesday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
•Magician Mikayla Oz, Tuesday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m.
•Musician Mr. Taylor, Tuesday, July 6 at 10 a.m.
When I think of colorful and fun, I think of Life-Size Candyland. We are so excited to set up our Life-Size Candyland game on the second floor of the library as one of our Summer Reading prizes. Kids who participate in Summer Reading and complete their summer reading challenges will get to register first for Life-Size Candyland!
Registration begins May 3 and will end May 31. As always, Summer Reading is free and open to all. We can’t wait to learn, grow, and create.
