Washington library was important part of childhood

I was speaking with a friend about the library recently, about how it was an integral part of our childhood. I remember storytimes with Jo, making new friends, and even meeting Pete the cat.
My summers were filled with reading thanks to Jenisa, and several lock-ins persist in my mind as cherished memories. As I was thinking about this, I realized I’m still making memories here every day. Talking to patrons, shelving interesting books, and even something as simple as freshly copied paper (it’s so warm and smooth!) all leave an impact on me.
The library has brought me joy and memories for most of my life. I think it can do the same for you, even if you don’t actually work here.
In the month of March, we’ll have our noon concert series, wee read, Ukulele group, early out Friday programs, a beginning knitting series, Movie Madness and classic cinema events, Beginning Genealogy and even “How to Become a Master Gardener!”
You don’t even have to attend an event to make great memories at the library. You can simply check out a great book. I hope whatever you choose, you make some great memories “At the Library.”
