The summer has flown too quickly, as Summer Reading Club was a whirlwind and all of our summer programming has kept us very busy. To me it seems the patrons are coming back in droves after being gone the last 2 years and our staff truly enjoys seeing our old friends again.
With the summer rushing to a close I have been focusing on fall programs and the collection. One of our upcoming programs has had a change of day and time. Our Classic Cinema will now be after hours on a Friday evening, starting at 6 p.m. This program will require a registration due to the new time. The next Classic Cinema is Friday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. We will be showing “Rear Window”. If you’d like to attend just call the library to register.
The week after is an interactive program called “Let’s Reminisce: One-Room Schoolhouse Stories” which will be a great time of hearing everyone share their experiences going to a one-room schoolhouse. This will be August 23rd at 6pm.
One of our ongoing programs is now named the Kings and Queens Card Club. This adult card club meets every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the ReBook room. Don’t forget our Thursday Game Night starting at 5pm. Come in and have a speed round or just take your time and enjoy the evening playing your favorite board game.
If you want something to look forward to, join us October 1st at Marr Park Lodge for our Ukulele Play-Along. This fall event will be a fun time of playing our ukuleles and singing along, no matter our level of ability. This is all about fun and enjoying good company. If you’d like to attend call the library to register.
You can find our schedule of events when you go to our website. If you have any questions just give us a call.
