Washington Middle School students receive awards

Washington Middle School Awards Day was held at 2 p.m., May 20, 2014, at the Middle School Auditorium in Washington.

Intermediate band, advanced band and jazz band members were recognized.

SEIBA Honor Band participants were: Ben Baughman, clarinet; Gwen Flannery, oboe; Matteo Hernandez, percussion; Landon Hinckley, percussion; Rio Lujano, bassoon; Kaelyn McAvoy, bass clarinet; Addison McGuire, flute; Erik Murphy, trumpet; Marshall Patterson, tuba; Meredith Raber, trombone; Maggie Smith, tenor saxophone.

Simpson Honor Choir participants were Gwen Flannery, Matteo Hernandez, Rio Lujano, Erik Murphy, Meredith Raber.

IBA Eighth Grade All-State Honor Band participants were: Erik Murphy, trumpet; and Meredith Raber, trombone

Vocal music participants in the SEICDA Honor Choir were: Nia Acharya, Makenna Burdock, Emma Butler, John Flannery, Isabella Gillispie, Kylie Haifley, Logan Hanson, Tiara Krauss, Rio Lujano, Kaelyn McAvoy, Brennan Murphy, Katelyn Pacha, Allison Rebling, Addison Six, Austin Stalder, Rory Wagner, Audrey Wubbena

Youth Art Month honorees were: Hannah Anderson, and Stephen Graham

Football cheerleaders were: Madelyn Janecek, Madeline Neff, Kaitlyn Stalder, Rory Wagner.

Football/Basketball/Wrestling cheerleaders were: Elyssa Brock, Alexis Edwards, Michaela Hoffman, Maggie Smith, Baylee Stalder, Kendra Rickey

Dance Team participants were: Noelle Beezley, Makenna Burdock, Mersadies Carter, Vanessa Moeller, Meghan Newman, Kaitlyn Stalder, Kristen Twinam
