Washington PD Chief receives ‘Excellence in Protection’ Award

Washington Police Chief Jim Lester is being recognized with the 'Excellence in Protection” Award from the Iowa Department of Public Safety for exemplary management of sex offenders during his service with the Wright County Sheriff's Office. The award is designed to recognize individuals who have made notable contributions to the criminal justice community and to the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
The award will be presented at the 2019 Iowa Sex Offender Registry Symposium on July 10 in Altoona.
