WASHINGTON ? On Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, the RAGBRAI Washington Ride Right Committee rode the 59 miles through Washington and Louisa counties that are part of this year?s route. The purpose of this ride was to document the hazards and repair needs.
Among the numerous committees and subcommittees involved in Washington?s efforts to host RAGBRAI, the Ride Right Committee is tasked with, among other duties, riding the route that RAGBRAI participants will follow into and out of Washington and convey any issues to road maintenance departments.
Ride Right members who covered the distance were Richard Gilmore, Rodney Stogdill, Jan Boyd, Dave Krantz, Larry Bean and Nick Reed. Sue Reed was sag support and logged all of the road conditions.
