Washington School Board to meet Wednesday

The Washington Community School District Board of Education will meet in regular session at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Administration Building, 404 West Main Street in Washington.

Agenda items include: verification of meeting notice; approve agenda; conflict of interest; receive visitors; a board hearing and closed session at the request of parent, pursuant to No. 502.4 Iowa Code 21.5(1)(a); and reports. Consent Items are: approve minutes, bills and financial reports; personnel ? resignations, transfers and new hires; open enrollment; participation in the Iowa High School Athletic Association Catastrophic Insurance program; participation in the Iowa Association for Educational Purchasing program; WCRF mini grant resolution; Foundation scholarships; and 28E Highland Human resources. Action items are: IASB call for action; contract with Teacher Association; SIAC recommendations; Chromebook purchases; and marching band request. Discussion items include review of goals for 2013-14, discussion of goals for 2014-15, and board retreat. Communication items include board committee reports, curriculum report and superintendent?s report.

The next board meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m., July 9, 2014, at the Washington High School.
