Washington students participate in solo, ensemble festival
Student musicians from seven 3A high schools came to Washington on Saturday, March 29 to participate in the annual solo and ensemble festival. Ten students from the band and choir departments represented our host school. Washington students received 1 division 3 rating, 4 division 2 ratings, and 5 division 1 ratings. Student musicians from seven 3A high schools came to Washington on Saturday, March 29 to participate in the annual solo and ensemble festival. Ten students from the band and choir departments represented our host school. Washington students received 1 division 3 rating, 4 division 2 ratings, and 5 division 1 ratings. Nicholas Todd received a perfect score for his tuba solo and was named the outstanding performer for his center. Nicholas is now eligible to perform his solo in Ames for a chance to win a scholarship.
