Washington students selected to OPUS Honor Choir
Two Washington students have been selected to perform in the prestigious 2019 Iowa Choral Directors Association OPUS Honor Choir. From Washington Middle School, Makynna Morgan (8th grade) was selected for the seventh and eighth grade treble clef honor choir and from Washington High School, Bailey Rees (9th grade) was selected for the ninth grade mixed honor choir.
Nearly 3,000 students are nominated by their directors each year for 720 positions in the four OPUS Honor Choirs. The OPUS honor choirs will perform at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium in the Iowa State Center in Ames.
