The Washington United Methodist Women met on Nov. 9 at the church. Hostesses were Vic Patterson, Roberta Lampkin and Karen McCreedy. Nineteen members were present.
Ilene Schnicker gave devotions using Psalms 52:9. She also gave a reading 'Count Your Blessings.”President Marilyn Whitenack announced that Installation of new officers will be held at 11 a.m. service on Jan.5. Special membership pin was given to Ann Williams.
Wanda Boyer and Dana Rembold will also be presented pins at a later time. Sally Beasley, Education Chairperson, discussed an article reminding members to Stay Informed, Connected and to be Bold. She also reported on the Sunset Sisters Camp Humphrey in South Korea which is a place for the forgotten.She concluded her report by reading 'Help, Lord, I'm Having a Senior Moment.” Discussion was held on the Country Fair which will be held on Nov. 30 in the church. Shirley Pfeifer gave a report on Mission Day and Social Actions in Ministry to persons who are newly released from prisons and their needs. She also gave the World Thank Offering Program using Psalms 21;1-19. The next meeting will be Dec. 14. Members are to bring a Christmas memento.
