The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department has announced its schedule of indoor water classes in May.
The class, Water Pump, will be offered throughout the month at the Roosevelt Aquatic Center.
The buoyancy of water means Water Pump provides a virtually impact-free cardiovasculat workout, significantly reucing stress on the joints and muscle soreness, but the intensity of the movement, using resistance weights and high energy makes the class a high calorie- and fat-burner while toning muscles and building endurance.
Classes are at 10:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Mondays; 10:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 9 a.m. Saturdays.
For information, call the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center at 472-6159.
