Wayland Class Reunion held
The Wayland High School Class of 1951 held its 65th reunion June 17, at the Pizza Ranch in Washington with 12, including spouses, in attendance.

The time was spent reminiscing and playing a game. Out of a class of 19 students, 13 survive. Those attending were Gene and Phyllis Story, Cedar Rapids; Albert Rich, Mt. Pleasant; Leroy and Janet Bain, Iowa City; Dr. Gary and Fran Meyer, Alma, Michigan; Einer and Mary Ellen Stoltzfus, Kalona; Lavonne McGjuire, Morton, Illinois; Verena Jacobs, Wayland; and Erma Alliman, Wayland.
Those unable to attend were: David Reschly, Wes Widmer, Mahlon Leichty, Grace (Rubey) Askam, and Mary Ellen (Nebel) Saforek.
Lavonne McGuire was hostess, and next year Mary Ellen Stoltzfus will be in charge.
