The Wayland Lions Club Christmas Party was held at the Wayland Community Center.
President Stan Meyer welcomed the members followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Stan led the Invocation. The normal monthly meeting was postponed until the January 2026 meeting.
As a tribute to the Christmas Season, Stan reminded us about the history of Saint Nicholas and how Saint Nicholas is known for his Love, Giving and History through many countries and traditions. God sent His only son Jesus to earth for the Love of mankind, with Christmas birth of Jesus, starting his journey.
Members enjoyed a marvelous dinner provided by Alice Hochstetler topped off with homemade pie.
Participants enjoyed the evening with fellowship of Christmas conversation followed by a rousing game of Christmas Present BINGO where everyone was a winner.
Laughter permeated the party as all were in the Christmas Spirit — No Humbug here!
Our evening entertainment was a variety of music provided by Bob Nolan of Morning Sun. Brian & Marianne Pattyson celebrated their Wedding Anniversary with a dance and congratulations by the members.
The evening finished with singing of Christmas carols.
Wayland Lions Club members wish all our friends in the Wayland Communities a Merry Blessed Christmas and Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year!
