The Wayland Lions Club held their Christmas Party on Dec. 17, 2024, at the Wayland Community Center. The regular December Meeting was postponed until January 21, 2025.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by President Theresa Ferdig, followed by the Invocation by Lion Brian Pattyson.
Eleven Wayland Lions Club members were joined by their guests for the festive occasion totaling 23, including a music performance by Bob Nolan.
Alice Hochstetler catered a delicious meal, and the entertainment was provided by Bob Nolan with a variety of Christmas songs mixed with old-time favorites from the past six decades.
Good times with a sing-along accompanied Bob’s music.
President Theresa Ferdig gave a year-end review stating that Lion Service activities increased in the last few months:
- Thirty-Seven individuals celebrated Thanksgiving together at WayMar Community Center.
- 40 Christmas boxes were packed to assist families in the area to celebrate Christmas. The packing was assisted by local individuals who provided some stocking stuffers.
The Christmas Party came to a close with attendees smiling with Christmas Spirit!
