Wayland Lions Club meets

The Wayland Lions Club met Nov. 21 at “Your Choice Restaurant.” There were 9 members present.

President Theresa Ferdig called the meeting to order, led the Pledge of Allegiance, and gave the Invocation.

Lion Brian Pattyson read the minutes from the last meeting and Treasurer Terry Kaufman gave the Treasurer’s Report. Both were accepted unanimously.

Treasurer Terry Kaufman noted that he has been the Wayland Lions Club Treasurer since 2011, or 12 years.

The meeting resumed after the meal.

Old Business:

• Lions Hats, Caps and Shirt order was turned in for order.

• Lion Bruce Eichelberger noted that there were 20 children tested on October 23, 2023 at the KidSight Screening and they were awaiting the results from the Doctors review.

New Business:

• Final discussion and plans for the Wayland Lions Club Charter 65th Anniversary which will be combined with the Christmas Party at Wayland Community Center on December 19, 2023.

• District Governor Mike Renken will be the Guest Speaker.

• Lion Brian Pattyson passed out a Wayland Lions Club Profile form to be filled out by all members for discussion at the 65th Anniversary Meeting.

• Lion Sid Brooks proposed a donation to the Refuse House in Olds, Iowa, which was unanimously approved.
