Guest Speaker Sira Curfman of 'Your Choice Family Restaurant” was the featured speaker. Sira pointed out some of the obstacles of starting up a restaurant, that she had to overcome:
' Deciding she couldn't pass up the opportunity of what she had dreamed of from when she was a little girl, working at her dad's restaurant.
' She had to meet a quick turn-around dictated by the previous owner.
' Completing many different licenses, managing and organizing vendors, coordinating utilities and other services required to open the restaurant.
' The restaurant was deep cleaned and many steps were taken to meet Covid-19 requirements like:
1. Organizing tables 6 feet apart
2. Salt, pepper and sugar containers were brought to the tables and picked up afterward to be cleaned before re-use.
3. Disposable menus were given to each table, which they could take with them; as new menus would be given to each new group.
'We have received many compliments and support from the community, which we are very grateful. Our next project is providing delicious Pizza to our customers,” Curfman said. 'Finally, my staff and I thank our customers for your support and our mission is to make all our patrons completely satisfied with our meals and service.”
