Wayland Lions donate to child care organization

Wayland Lions Club presented a donation to Wayland Area Child Care Organization, honoring the late Janet Sterling. Janet Sterling, former member of Wayland Lions Club, designated the Wayland Lions Club as recipient of her Memorial Fund. Janet was well known for her “Connecting the Dots” monthly articles in the Wayland Reporter, and her care for the community children’s needs.

Treasurer Lindi Jepson received the check from Lion Marianne Pattyson, while Lion Brian Pattyson presented the Memorial Plaque.

Lindi and her husband Zach Jepson bought the building and spearheaded the start of the Day Care Center, as they realized the need for a Day Care Center in Wayland and surrounding communities.

The building, located on Main Street, is being renovated with a target opening date for “Little Me & Company” Child Care Center in June of 2023.
