Then the meeting broke for a delicious meal catered by Alice Hochstetler.
At the resumption of the meeting, Lion Brian Pattyson read the minutes of last meeting and Lion Robert Meyer gave the Treasurer's Report.
President Bill Grimm thanked all the members who attended the Dec. 18, 2018, Christmas Party.
Old Business:

New Business:
Wayland Lions Club expressed congratulations to Wayland Lion Joe Mitchell for his induction as a State of Iowa Representative.
Former Lion Gail Simmering applied for rejoining the Wayland Lions. Gail sited the Alpaca Fall Fest as the catalyst for her request, where she contributed two tents and assisted in Apple Blossom Alpaca Ranch's store sales.
Lions Brian Pattyson read from the Jan. 10, 2019, Beacon-News 'Yesterday Column” for 10 Years Ago, when then President John Swartzendruber addressed the WACO Leos and awarded Leo Adviser Virginia Styron the Leo Club Service Award. The Lions Clubs International Award was for fulfilling the roles as Educator, Motivator, Liaison and Humanitarian as a Leo Club Adviser.
Brian suggested that the Wayland and Crawfordsville Lions Clubs pursue reviving the WACO Leo Club and he would contact WACO Principal Tim Bartels to discuss the proposal.
President Grimm suggested that members select guest speakers for upcoming meetings on subjects of interest to Lions and the local communities.
The official meeting ended at 7:30 p.m.
