Wayland Lions May meeting minutes

The Wayland Lions Club held their May 20th meeting at the Wayland Community Center. There were 15 members in attendance and a guest speaker. President Bill Grimm called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Bruce Eichelberger gave the Invocation. Then the meeting broke for a delicious meal catered by Alice Hochstetler.

President Bill Grim introduced Shauna Freitag, Executive Director of Young House Family Services. Shauna shared the 48 year history of Young Health Family Services, which offers a variety of services; including mental health therapy, in-home parenting skills and counseling and substance abuse treatment services. Lion Brian Pattyson read the minutes of last meeting and Terry Kaufman gave the Treasurer's Report, which were both approved.

Old Business:

President Grimm discussed projects for the summer months and asked for volunteers to provide future guest speakers.

Blood Drive at Wayland Community Center at 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on June 6.

Annual July Fourth Pancake Breakfast at Wayland Community Center from 6:30-9:30 a.m.
