Wayland’s chapter Iowa J of National T.T.T. meets

Six members of Iowa J of the National T.T.T. Society met Tuesday evening, Oct. 24, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Community Center. Minutes of the Sept. 26, 2023 meeting were approved as corrected. Treasurer Lori Messer gave her report which was accepted and filed for audit.

President Georgia Fort had sent a thank you note to Chapter DL in Washington for their support. Another Tip Night was discussed and tabled until Spring. Georgia had met with Pizza Hut about doing a fundraising event with them.

Delegates Georgia and Lori gave an overview report from National Convention. The next Iowa State Convention will be held in April 2024 in Bettendorf, Iowa. Let’s Connect zoom opportunities will now be held on the Fifth Tuesdays of a month, hoping to have wider participation. An email has been received noting that Zone 3 will be hosts for the 2025 State Convention.

Installation of Officers for 2024-25 was performed by Parliamentarian Cindy Seberg.

In November, Iowa J will join Crawfordsville L on the 27th at 6:30 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ for a joint meeting and game night. Iowa J will hold their December meeting on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. at Your Choice Restaurant in Wayland with breakfast and chapter gift exchange.
